New recruit to the PC, Robert Kingsbury was born in London in 1949 and started work at the age of 15 in a joinery and woodworking shop. he spent his early years training as a carpenter and wood machinist before leaving London when he was 21. He first moved to Northampton, then in 1980 to Nottingham and finally to Kinoulton in 1999 with his wife Alison. They have two children, Alexander and Jennifer.

Robert plays an active role in the village church, St Luke's, also being a member of the PCC and one of the governors at Kinoulton primary school.

Having spent many years running his own joinery business, Robert is now keen to spend some of his time helping to develop and playing a part in the loacal community.

When he's relaxing Robert enjoys music, cooking and socialising with friends.
