"I grew up in Kinoulton. Kinoulton Gorse, the canal and haystacks on local farms provided our adventure playground. The school football team used to play on a cricket field that was still ridge and furrow - to have any chance of scoring a goal you had to strike from the top of a ridge!"

Neil has spent a happy 48 years living in Kinoulton since he was born, and following in the tradition of his his grandfather and great grandfather, who served on the PC for 30 and 33 years respectively, Neil signed up in 1987.

Neil is also actively involved with the Village Hall and Kinoulton Cricket Club and enjoys the feeling that he is doing something constructive towards making the village an even better place to live.

As PC Treasurer, Neil has agreat deal of paperwork to deal with and never ceases to be amazed at the volume of paperwork generated by the local authority in one form or another, but to alleviate the stress this causes, relaxes by playing cricket on the village team and indulging himself in a large portion of fish and chips in front of Lord of the Rings.
